Peace and Adventure in the Drents-Friese Wold

Nature lovers and outdoor enthusiasts can enjoy themselves to the fullest during their stay at our vacation park in the Drents-Friese Wold. There are more than 130 kilometers of hiking trails of varying lengths, as well as numerous bike paths—including paved, semi-paved, and sandy trails—through the nature reserve. Your dog is welcome in most of the park for a nice walk and can run freely in one of the off-leash areas. In addition, there are 4 day routes marked out on the horse trails, so you can also head out with your horse. Children will enjoy the many play areas, and at the various restaurants and cafes, you can relax with a cup of coffee and a slice of cake.

Spend the Night Surrounded by Nature

During your vacation in the Drents-Friese Wold, you’ll be right in the heart of nature with your own tent, trailer tent, caravan, or RV. Don’t feel like taking (nighttime) walks to our heated restroom facilities? Then choose a campsite with private restroom facilities. For a little more comfort, choose a vacation home in the Drents-Friese Wold. From a hiker’s cabin to a luxury lodge, you and up to 6 people can sleep in comfortable beds. At all campsites and in almost all forest cabins , up to 3 dogs are welcome.

"The campground is in a perfect location, surrounded by beautiful nature. I highly recommend the MTB trail that starts at Lake Canada or a nice walk through the woods 👌. The campground itself is well-maintained. We stayed in a 6-person cabin—very luxurious and modern—and the helpful manager was always there to answer our questions. We’ll definitely be back soon (and next time I’ll bring my horse too, since I saw that the facilities for that are excellent!)."

✤ Can we have fun at your vacation park, too?

Absolutely! Our vacation park offers plenty of facilities to keep you entertained. Take a dip in the outdoor pool, play a game of tennis or mini-golf, or enjoy a pizza at the outdoor bar. The kids will have a blast in the play loft and on the Animal Adventure Trail.

✤ Do you rent out bikes?

Yes, we have our own bike rental service at the front desk, , where we rent out 7-speed bikes (with dog carts), e-bikes, mountain bikes, electric cargo bikes, children’s bikes, and child seats. We also have a number of helmets available.
