Park Drentheland

There’s so much to discover at Buitencentrum Appelscha! For example:

Barefoot Trail:
Feel the sand between your toes, the cool water, and the soft, prickly pine needles and twigs with your bare feet. A stimulating walk for your bare feet, which are usually tucked away in a pair of shoes.

The Toad Trail:
The Toad Trail is a fun, adventurous route where you can enjoy exciting crawl-and-sneak paths right through the forest. There’s all kinds of things to discover here. Don’t forget to take a close look in the pond and along the banks. Through play, the wooden toad sculptures help you discover how toads develop, from young to old. The Toad Trail has been a popular route for children ages 7 to 12 for many years.

Gnome Trail, Play Forest, and Family Trail:
Close to the center, there’s a play forest, a Gnome Trail, and an Animal Friends Trail for children. There’s also the Family Trail, a fully paved path over 2 kilometers long with several special features for the blind and visually impaired. The trail is also suitable for people with limited mobility who need to use a walker or mobility scooter.
