After a fun first edition and a successful second one, we’ll be organizing another “Dog Splash” in 2026—specifically during Animal Day weekend on October 3, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to around 4:00 p.m.!

Is your dog a real swimmer? Then come join us at the pool with your dog. To wrap up the swimming season, we’re opening our pool to dogs and their owners. After this weekend, the water will be drained. The chlorine level in the pool will be significantly lower during this weekend to ensure it’s safe for your dog to swim.

And… we’re expanding this dog splash event again this year with:
Vendors selling dog treats and supplies, dog photography, food and drinks, talks, and workshops!

 Tip! Turn it into a mini-vacation:
Combine your visit with a stay at our campground or in one of our luxurious, pet-friendly Drenthe Lodges ( with or without a fenced-in yard). A maximum of 3 dogs per stay is allowed, and right behind the park is a walking area that borders the beautiful Drents-Friese Wold National Park.

Swimming costs 2.50 euros. If you combine the Hondenplons with a stay at Park Drentheland, your dog gets in for free.
