• The Dwingeloo Weekly Market, also known as the Tuesday Market, is a morning market. The market runs from 8:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. This means you can get there early to do your shopping and enjoy your fresh purchases for the rest of the day. The market is held on the Brink, Dwingeloo’s central square.

Not every week, but this summer and close by:

• Vledder Trunk Sale: July 11, August 8, September 12, and October 10
  From 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and the children’s flea market starts at 1:00 p.m.
• Steenwijk Summer Fair and Fortress Festival:  On Wednesdays, July 15, 22, and 29, and August 5 and 12, at from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with a different theme each time! Enjoy street theater, music, circus acts, and on July 22: Pasar Malam.
• Oosterwolde Summer Markets: On Mondays, July 20 and 27, and August 10 and 17, 2026, the lively Summer Market will take place in the town center. These fairs and flea markets run from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
• Bakkeveen Flea Market with 500 vendors: This year, the open-air market will also take place on June 20, July 4 and 18, August 1 and 15, September 5 and 19, and October 3 and 17.

• The Dieversluis Dragon Boat Race: Saturday, September 5, 2026, at the lock in Dieverbrug. It promises to be a spectacular day as teams compete on the waters of the Drentse Hoofdvaart
• The PROEF Plant Market in Frederiksoord: Sunday, September 6, 2026 / 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
• CORSO Frederiksoord: On Saturday, September 12, the parade featuring the children’s procession and the parade floats will begin at 1:30 p.m., and in the evening, the beautifully illuminated night parade will start at 8:00 p.m. 
  On Sunday, September 13, everyone is invited to join a bike tour through Frederiksoord and the surrounding villages, passing by beautiful mosaics. At and around the parade grounds, there will be plenty of (cultural) entertainment for all ages, and all the parade floats will be on display in the Gardens of Frederiksoord.
