Dwingelderveld: Drenthe in a Nutshell

Drenthe is one of the few places in the Netherlands where you can still find unspoiled nature. Just a half-hour drive from our vacation park lies Dwingelderveld National Park. Purple-hued heathlands, dense forests, unique small ponds, and many animal species invite you to explore. Whether you’re looking to go for a walk or a bike ride, this is the perfect place to lose yourself in the tranquility of nature. A Comfortable Stay Near Dwingelderveld

At Park Drentheland, you can enjoy a comfortable vacation right near Dwingelderveld National Park. Whether you choose a spacious campsite or a stay in one of our modern accommodations, nature is always within easy reach. Our stylishly furnished vacation homes can accommodate up to 6 people. At the campground, you’ll camp on a spacious site with up to 10 amps of electricity and the option for a private water connection. For added comfort, there are campsites with private restroom facilities. In most accommodations and on all campsites, dogs are welcome, and your horse can also enjoy a luxurious stay in our spacious stable.

✤ Is the Dwingelderveld accessible by bike?

Yes, you can also bike the route; it takes about an hour. Along the way, you’ll pass through the Drents-Friese Wold. At our bike rental shop, we offer a wide selection of (electric) bikes and mountain bikes.

✤ Can my dog run free in the Dwingelderveld?

There are two large off-leash areas in the Dwingelderveld; otherwise, your dog must be on a leash. You must also put your dog back on a leash when flocks of sheep are nearby.
