De Hondsrug Geopark

De Hondsrug UNESCO Global Geopark.Follow in the footsteps of our prehistoric ancestors.

Go on an expedition through De Hondsrug Nature Park and discover the treasures that prehistoric humans left behind for us. The ridges and valleys were formed during the ice ages, and over the thousands of years that followed, they shaped De Hondsrug into the magnificent landscape it is today. In the past, this nature park was home to dolmens and the camps of prehistoric hunters; now we can explore it for ourselves! Complete your expedition with the app or one of the many expedition booklets that guide you past the highlights of this unique area.
