Miramar Maritime Museum
Have you ever come face to face with a blue shark?
At Miramar, you can encounter this and other strange sea creatures.
You’ll experience the fascinating story of Miss Warners (1899–1986), who visited more than 80 countries and brought back thousands of shells, corals, fish, and other marine curiosities from her travels. Until the age of 86, “The Blue Lady” roamed the coasts of all the world’s oceans and transported the curiosities she found in large trunks mounted on a stroller frame back to Drenthe. These curiosities from the sea are on display in her Wunderkammer.

The museum is open from April through December, during fall break, Christmas break, and spring break.
